MOSCOW — THE HEART OF RUSSIA

Moscow is not just the capital city of Russia but it is also the political, scientific, architectural and business nucleus. St.Basil’s Cathedral

This was constructed by Ivan the terrible in the year 1550. This amazingly built cathedral that surrounds the Red Square holds nine separate chapels. Every chapel is unique and different having its own architecture, style and of course an uniquely shaped dome. Red Square

This is was the place where death sentences were carried out once and later on it was used as a center for military parades. This square is right at the geographic center of Moscow. Do not be fooled by the name of this place. It has nothing to do with the armory that you are thinking of. It is a wonderful museum that houses some national treasures. There are many valuables on display in this museum like the items made in Kremlin’s workshop. This museum also preserves an ancient regalia, ceremonial tsar’s vestments and coronation dress, vestments of the Russian Orthodox church. It has a variety of collection of gold and silverware made by Russian craftsmen, West European artistic silver, ceremonial weapons and arms, carriages, horse ceremonial harness. This museum is a beauty were you could see a collection of rare Russian beauties.

Victory Park

This park was officially established in 1945. It is a very calm and lovely place. It has clean and beautiful lakes which are complemented by a smooth walking path besides the lakes. You can also hire boats or catamarans for a ride through these lakes. In the winter you can go for ice-skating and also for a cross-country skiing. Although this park has many amusements in it, it is not just a place for having fun. It is much more enriching than that. This amazing park is so heavenly and it completely refreshes your mind.
